Özet
Bu çalışmanın konusunu, 1938-1946 yılları arasında basılmış Türk romanlarında aşk temasının görünümleri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, aşk temasının romanlarda neleri ihtiva edebileceğini anlamlandırmak için öncelikle duygunun farklı disiplinlerdeki arka planı ele alınmıştır. Sonrasında aşk temasının Türk romanındaki tarihsel seyri incelenmiştir. Tezin esas malzemesini oluşturan 1938-1946 yılları arası Türk romanlarında aşkın görünümleri incelenirken metinler hem edebiyat ve roman teorisinin verileri hem de duygunun arka planını gösteren psikolojik ve sosyolojik verilerle analiz edilmiştir. Böylece dönem romanlarında görülen aşk ilişkileri, aşka yüklenen anlamlar, kadın ve erkek sevgililerin tipolojisi ve bunların dönem içerisinde neleri ihtiva ettiği açıklanmıştır. Bir duygu tarihi çalışması olarak elde edilen veriler, Cumhuriyet Dönemi romanında aşkın hem geçmişten gelen algıyla hem de modern hayatın tasarımıyla şekillendiğini göstermektedir. Bu dönem romanlarında aşk duygusu, kendi dönemi içerisinde yeni bir söylem olan bireysel aşkı ön plana çıkardığı gibi cinselliği aşkın ayrılmaz bir parçası olarak sunmuştur.
This study focuses on the theme of love in its various forms in Turkish novels penned between 1938-1946. The study first deals with the background of emotion in different disciplines to clarify what components the theme of love in novels could contain. Then, it examines the historical course of the theme of love in the Turkish novel. In the analysis of the forms of love in the texts written between 1938-1946, psychological and sociological factors reflecting the background of emotion, as well as the data related to the theory of the novel and literature, were used. The study explores the love relations of the period, the meanings attributed to love, and the typology of male and female lovers in the novels of the period. The results obtained from this thesis, which is a study of the history of emotions, reveal that love in the Republican Period novel was shaped by both the perception from the past and the design of modern life. In the novels of this period, individual love was highlighted as a new discourse, and sexuality was presented as an integral part of love.
