Özet
Background: The professional perspective in nursing affects the perception of students' nursing image. Objectives: This study was conducted as descriptive for determine attitude of professionalism that students of Nursing Department in Faculty of Health Sci ences ofa Public University. Methods: The population of the research are the 3rd and 4th class students (N:210)in Faculty of Health Sciences ofa Public University, samples who agree to participate in research (n:123). To collect data for the study, Demographic Informati on Form and Student Nurses’ Professionalism Attitude Survey were used. Student Nurses’ Professionalism Attitude Survey was developed by Hisar et al. (2010). The scale consists 28 items and 8 subscales. The sub-dimensions of the scale are as follows: contributing to the increase of scientific knowledge, autonomy, collaboration, qualifications and continuing education, participating in professional organizations and professional development, working in the committee, social services, ethics codes and theory. As the score on the scale increases, the attitude of professionalism increases (min:28, max: 140). The alpha value of the scale was found to be.91 for this study. Results: The average age of nursing students is 21.12 ± 1.92. General professional attitude score of students were high level (110.13 ± 15.73). The mean scores obtained from the sub-dimensions of the scale were found to be the highest score average in order of contributing to the increase of scientific knowledge, cooperation autonomy, qualification and continuing education, social service, ethics codes and theory, participati on in professional organizations and professional development, working in committees. Conclusion: In this study, 3rd and 4th classnursing students want to improve their knowledge about the framework after being graduated, the students received an average score of autonomy sizes enjoy reading the nursing profession and was found to be significantly higher compared to other dimensions.
