dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, liberal demokrasinin, var olabilmesi ve istikrarını sağlayabilmesi için gerekli koşulların sıralanması ve Türkiye demokrasisi özelinde bu koşulların nasıl ve hangi şartlarda sağlanabildiğinin araştırılması amacına yönelik hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma içerisinde temel olarak demokrasi kuramcılarının kurumsal, ekonomik ve kültürel bakış açıları irdelenmiş, bu kapsamda Türk modernleşme ve demokrasi tarihi çizilen kuramsal çerçeve üzerinden tartışılmış, demokrasinin koşullarının kurumsal, ekonomik ve kültürel bakımdan Türkiye demokrasisi için ne anlama geldiği ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada yöntem olarak, demokrasinin koşullarının Türkiye ile demokratikleşme bağlamında ne derece örtüştüğünün ortaya konması ve tarihsel perspektif içerisinde Türkiye'nin demokrasi ile çelişen zihniyet ve pratiklerinin tespit edilmesi ve bu anlamda da olanak ve engellerin sıralanması benimsenmiştir. Hem kurumsal yapıları -ileri düzeyde- demokratikleştirme anlamında dönüştürmek ve bunu ekonomi politikaları ve ekonomik endekslerle desteklemek hem de siyasal kültürün demokrasi bağlamında dönüşmesi ve yerleşmesi ve bu sayede demokratikleşme ve sürdürülebilirliği adına tartışmaları bir perspektifte sunabilmek, ulaşılmak istenen sonuç olarak belirlenmiştir. dc.description.abstractThis study has been conducted for the purpose of listing the necessary conditions for liberal democracy to exist and ensure its stability, and to investigate how and under what conditions these conditions can be reached in particular to Turkish democracy. In the study, additionally basically the institutional, economic and cultural perspectives of democracy theorists were examined, in this context, the history of Turkish modernization and democracy was discussed through the theoretical framework drawn, and it was tried to reveal what the conditions of democracy mean for Turkish democracy in terms of institutional, economic and cultural aspects. As a method embraced for this study to reveal what extent to the conditions of democracy overlap with Turkey in the context of democratization, and to determine the mentality and practices of Turkey which are in conflict with democracy in the historical perspective, and to list the possibilities and obstacles in this sense Both transforming institutional structures in terms of democratization for an advanced level and supporting this with economic policies and economic indices and also being able to present the discussions on behalf of the transformation and consolidation of political culture in the context of democracy, and thus democratization and sustainability, have been determined as the desired outcome.
