Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, yabancı dil eğitiminde kelime öğretimi için kullanılanAG uygulamaları hakkında üniversite öğrencilerinin görüş ve önerilerininbelirlenmesidir. Araştırmada yöntem olarak durum çalışması kullanılmış olup,çalışma grubu 38 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Sekiz haftalık uygulamasürecinin ardından öğrencilerle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme gerçekleştirilmiş veelde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göreöğrenciler AG uygulamalarının, zaman tasarrufu ve akılda kalıcılık sağladığınıdüşünmektedir. Öğrenciler uygulama sürecinde bir takım teknik problemler (karekod algılama sorunları, küçük ekran boyutu vb.) yaşadıklarını ifade etmiştir.Yabancı dil eğitiminde AG kullanımının olumlu ve olumsuz yanlarının yanı sıraöğrencilerin uygulamaya yönelik önerileri de incelenmiştir. Tüm öğrenci görüşleriayrıntılı olarak ele alınmış ve ileride yapılacak uygulamalara yönelik önerilere yerverilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to examine students’ opinions and suggestions aboutthe use of augmented reality (AR) for foreign-language vocabulary learning. Theresearch method of the study is a case study. The study group of the currentqualitative research consists of 38 university students. After an eight-weekapplication, semi-structured interviews conducted with students. The collected datawere analyzed through the content analysis. According to students’ statements theycompleted their translation in less time. While AR offers some opportunities forstudents, it also creates some challenges. Problems can occur such as poorrecognition of QR code and small screen size of mobile phone. Some suggestionshave made for further applications.
