dc.description.abstractTürkiye'de ortaöğretime geçiş sürecinde öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını değerlendiren Liselere Giriş Sınavı (LGS), eğitim hayatlarında kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu bağlamda LGS, öğrencilerin gelecekteki eğitim ve kariyer basamaklarını belirlemelerinde büyük bir öneme sahip olduğu için ciddi bir hazırlık gerektirmektedir. Bu hazırlık sürecine yardımcı olmak amacıyla araştırmada 2023 yılında 8. sınıf öğrencilerine LGS kapsamında uygulanan merkezi sınavın sayısal oturumunun matematik alt testinde yer alan sorular ile 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın (MEB) yayımladığı örnek matematik soruları ve okullarda uygulanan bazı yayınevlerine ait deneme sınavlarının matematik alt testinde yer alan soruların Webb (2002) tarafından geliştirilen Bilginin Derinliği Seviyelerine (BDS) göre karşılaştırmalı analizi yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda soruların BDS'ye göre düzeyleri belirlenerek deneme sınavı matematik soruları ile örnek matematik sorularının, LGS matematik sorularına ne ölçüde benzer veya farklı olduğu hakkında bilgi vereceği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman incelenmesinden yararlanılmıştır. İncelenen sorularda elde edilen bulgulara göre LGS matematik sorularının, örnek matematik sorularının ve deneme sınavı matematik sorularının BDS'ye göre dengeli bir dağılım göstermediği belirlenmiştir. LGS matematik sorularının Seviye 2- Beceri ve Kavramlar düzeyinde, örnek matematik sorularının Seviye 2- Beceri ve Kavramlar ile Seviye 3- Stratejik Düşünce ve deneme sınavı matematik sorularının Seviye 2- Beceri ve Kavramlar düzeyinde yığılma olduğu görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda LGS matematik soruları ile deneme matematik soruları BDS'ye göre dağılımlarının paralellik gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar merkezi sınavlara hazırlık süreçleri açısından değerlendirilerek çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur.
dc.description.abstractThe High School Entrance Examination (LGS), which evaluates students' academic achievement in the transition to secondary education in Turkey, plays a critical role in their educational lives. In this context, LGS requires serious preparation as it has a great importance in determining students' future education and career steps. In order to help this preparation process, in this study, the questions in the mathematics subtest of the numerical session of the central exam administered to 8th grade students in 2023 within the scope of LGS, the sample mathematics questions published by the Ministry of National Education in the 2022-2023 academic year, and the questions in the mathematics subtest of some publishing houses' mock exams applied in schools were comparatively analysed according to the Depth of Knowledge Levels (DOK) developed by Webb (2002). In this context, it is thought that by determining the levels of the questions according to the BDS, it will provide information about the extent to which the mathematics questions of the mock exam and sample mathematics questions are similar or different from the LGS mathematics questions. In this study, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. According to the findings obtained from the examined questions, it was determined that LGS mathematics questions, sample mathematics questions and mock exam mathematics questions did not show a balanced distribution according to the DOK. It was observed that LGS mathematics questions were concentrated at Level 2 - Skills and Concepts, sample mathematics questions were concentrated at Level 2 - Skills and Concepts and Level 3 - Strategic Thinking, and mock exam mathematics questions were concentrated at Level 2 - Skills and Concepts. In this direction, it was concluded that the distribution of LGS mathematics questions and trial mathematics questions according to the DOK was parallel. The results obtained were evaluated in terms of preparation processes for central exams and various suggestions were presented.
