Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılından itibaren uygulanmaya başlanan sosyal bilgiler ve T.C. İnkılap Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük dersleriyle ilgili yapılan destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarını, kursların merkezinde yer alan ve bu kurslardan doğrudan faydalanan öğrencilerin görüşlerini alarak değerlendirmektir. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek üzere araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verilerini 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında sosyal bilgiler ve T.C. Cumhuriyeti İnkılap Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük derslerinden açılan kurslara kayıt yaptırmış olan, köy okulunda eğitim gören 18 öğrenciden alınan cevaplar oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında veri toplanacak okul ve çalışma grubu belirlenirken araştırmanın yapıldığı ilçede yer alan köy okullarından bir tanesi, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilmiştir. Araştırmaya veri sağlamak için oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları iki alan uzmanı ve bir ölçme değerlendirme uzmanın görüşleri doğrultusunda araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulmuştur. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formlarından elde edilen veriler ışığında içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular, öğrencilerin kurslara çeşitli nedenlerle katıldıklarını ve kursların sunduğu imkânlardan farklı şekillerde yararlandıklarını ortaya koymuştur. Öğrenciler, kurslarda işlenen konuların okul derslerindeki bilgileri pekiştirdiğini, sınavlara hazırlık sürecinde önemli bir destek sağladığını ve akademik başarılarını olumlu yönde etkilediğini belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca, kurs materyallerinin verimli olduğu fakat sayısının artırılmasının faydalı olacağı vurgulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarına yönelik hedefleriyle uyumlu bir tablo çizmiş, kursların öğrencilerin eğitimine katkıda bulunduğunu göstermiştir. Bu sonuçlar, literatürdeki benzer çalışmalarla benzerlik göstererek, destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarının, öğrencilerin akademik gelişimine önemli katkılar sağladığını ve eğitimdeki eksiklikleri gidermede etkili bir araç olabileceğini teyit etmiştir.
The aim of this research is social studies and Turkish Republic, which has been implemented by the Ministry of National Education since the 2014-2015 academic year. It is the evaluation of the support and training courses related to the History of Revolution and Kemalism courses by taking the opinions of the students who are at the center of the courses and who directly benefit from these courses. To achieve this aim, qualitative research method was used in the research. The qualitative data of the research were collected in social studies and Turkish Republic in the 2022-2023 academic year. It consists of the answers received from 18 students studying at the village school, who have registered for the courses opened on the Republic of Turkey History of Revolution and Kemalism courses. While determining the school and study group from which data would be collected within the scope of the research, one of the village schools in the district where the research was conducted was selected using the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. Semi-structured interview forms created to provide data for the research were created by the researcher in line with the opinions of two field experts and a measurement and evaluation expert. Content analysis was conducted in the light of the data obtained from semi-structured interview forms. The findings revealed that students attended courses for various reasons and benefited from the opportunities offered by the courses in different ways. Students stated that the topics covered in the courses reinforced the knowledge in school courses, provided significant support in the preparation process for exams, and positively affected their academic success. Additionally, it was emphasized that the course materials were efficient, but it would be beneficial to increase their number. The research results painted a picture compatible with the Ministry of National Education's goals for support and training courses and showed that the courses contributed to the education of students. These results are similar to similar studies in the literature, confirming that support and training courses make significant contributions to the academic development of students and can be an effective tool in eliminating deficiencies in education. This study is the summary of the master's thesis presented under the title "Secondary School Students' Opinions on Support and Training Courses: The Example of Social Studies and Turkish Republic History of Revolution and Kemalism Course" and includes the findings obtained by in-depth examination of the effects of the courses on the students.
