dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada geleneği ve geleneksel olanı reddeden; yeniliği ve yeniyi savunan modernizmin, Türk kültür ve modernleşmesinde kadın ve eğitimine etkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışma da ilk olarak kültür ve medeniyet kavramları tanımlanmış, aynı zamanda kültürün unsurları açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde İslamiyet öncesi, İslami dönem ve Osmanlı dönemleri ayrı ayrı olmak üzere Türk kültüründe kadının yeri ve önemi ile kadının statüsü analiz edilmiştir. Daha sonra modernizm kavramının tarihsel gelişimi açıklanmış; Modernizm ve müslümanların konumuna değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın dördüncü bölümünde ise modernizm ve kadın konusu; modernleşmenin Batı toplumundaki kadına etkisi, modernleşmenin Türk kadınına etkisi, modernleşme ve müslüman kadının değişimi göz önüne serilmiştir. Araştırmanın son bölümünde ise Türk Modernleşme sürecinde kadın eğitimi; Tanzimat ve 1. Meşrutiyet, II. Meşrutiyet ve Cumhuriyet dönemleri olmak üzere eğitime etkileri yer almaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, Türk kültüründe kadının toplum içerisinde ve siyasi hayatta bir değere sahip olduğu Türk modernleşmesinde ise kadının tüketim toplumunun hedefi olarak reklam yüzü ve eğlence aracı haline geldiği, bu gelişmenin toplum içerisinde ve siyasal hayatta kadına verilen statüsünün olumsuz yönde değiştiği ve kadın eğitiminin zorunlu olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. dc.description.abstractIn this study, Modernism that refuses tradition and traditional, advocates innovation and new, and its effects on Turkish culture and modernization of women and women education has examined. In the study, first, the concepts of culture and civilization were defined. In the second section, status of women is defined as women in Turkish culture, place and importance of women in pre-Islamic Turkish culture, place and importance of women in Turkish culture in Islamic era, place and importance of women in Ottoman era. Afterwards, the historical development of modernization concept is explained, and Modernism and status of Muslims topic are mentioned. In the fourth section of the study, the topics of Modernism and women, the effects of modernization on women in Western society, effects of modernization on Turkish women and modernization and alteration of Muslim women are analyzed in detail. In the last section of the research, women education in Turkish Modernization process, and Tanzimat (reorganization) Reform and First Constitutional Era, Second Constitutional Era and Republic Era and their influences on education are stated. As a result of the research, where women has a value in social and political life in Turkish culture, during Turkish Modernization it seems that women transformed to a target of consumption society and an advertisement and entertainment element and women's status has altered in a negative way in social and political life, thus, the conclusion of that women education is compulsory is done.
