Ekstrakapsüler katarakt ekstraksiyonu ve göz içi lens implantasyonu, günümüzde katarakt cerrahisinde en çok kabul görmüş yöntemlerden biridir. Bu ameliyatı uyguladığımız 198 hastanın 226 gözünün peroperatif ve postoperatif komplikasyonlarını incelemeyi amaçladık. Dört-otuziki ay takip ettiğimiz olgularımızda en sık rastlanan peroperatif komplikasyon 13 olgu (%5.75) ile arka kapsül rüptürü, postoperatif komplikasyon ise 21 olgu (%9.2) ile arka kapsül kesafeti idi. Bir olguda ise endoftalmi nedeni ile görme P(-) seviyesine düşmüştür. Sonuç olarak, bu cerrahi prosedür nadir komplikasyonları ile etkin ve güvenli bir yöntemdir.
Today, extracapsular cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation is one of the most approved methods in cataract surgery. We aimed to study the peroperative and postoperative complications in 226 eyes of 198 patients to whom we performed this surgery. The most common peroperative complications in our cases, we followed up for 4-32 months, were the posterior capsule rupture in 13 cases (5.75%) and the postoperative were posterior capsule opacification in 21 cases (9.2%). And in one case vision is declined to P(-) level due to endophthalmitis. In conclusion, this surgical procedure is an effective and safe method with rare complications.
