Özet
Araştırma, Selami Şahin'in hayatı, sanatsal özellikleri ve eserlerinin müzikal bazı özelliklerini ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda yapılan çalışma kapsamında Selami Şahin ile görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma için MSÜ Bando meslek yüksekokulu kütüphanesi, Ankara ili içerisinde özel kitapevleri, internet, dijital müzik albümleri, müzik kasetleri, müzik CD'leri, müzik dergileri ve televizyon yayınlarından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırılan konuya yönelik ilgili dijital kaynaklar taranarak makale, yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri incelenmiştir. Bu tezde başlangıç olarak geçmişe ışık tutması açısından Türk ve Arap müziğin geçirdiği evreler açıklanmış, söz yazarı ve besteci Selami Şahin'e ait arşivlerde kayıtlı en çok yorumlanmış, dinleme ve izleme durumuna göre belirlenen sözü ve müziği kendisine ait olan 10 eser, müzikal bakımdan analiz edilmiştir. Bu amaçla, kendisine ait eserlerin sayıları tespit edilmiş ve şarkılarını albümlerinde kullanan sanatçıların albüm künyeleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; beste ve sözleri sanatçıya ait 173eser, sadece bestesini yaptığı 320 eser, sadece sözlerinin kendisine ait olduğu 164 eser, film müzikleri ise10 adettir. Alt problemler altında incelenen 10 eserin müzikal incelemesi sonucunda, 1 tane Çargâh, 1 tane Zirgüleli Hicaz, ikişer tane Kürdi ve Mahur ve 4 tane de Nihavent makamlarında olduğu; 10 eserin birisinin semai,9 tanesinin sofyan usulde olduğu ve eserlerin 9-13 ses aralığında olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Şarkılarında ağırlıklı olarak konularının, özlem duygusu, ayrılık acısı, yalnızlık, sevgi, çaresizlik, yakarış, ayrılık, ümitsiz aşk, karşılıksız aşk, pişmanlık vb. olduğu anlaşılmıştır.
This is a review of research mainly focused on Selami Şahin's biography and features of his work as well as aiming to unveil the characteristics of his musical work. During the research process, the performer has been interviewed in person by myself to obtain detailed and useful information about his personal feelings, opinions and his perception about the particular music industry. For the study, I reviewed content related to his work from various sources such as MSU Brass band high school library, various bookstores and libraries, internet, digital music albums, cassettes,cd`s and various magazines and related TV programs. Also, I reviewed other digital resources such as some master`s, Ph.D. dissertations and related articles published paperback and online. Initially in this study, I aimed to spotlight the past and various phases of Turkish Classical music and explained the descriptive analysis of Selami Şahin`s musical pieces. Him, as a valuable Composer and Lyric writer in Turkish Classical Music history, I reviewed the 10 of his musical work found in archives, which has been ranked by most relevance and popularity and I solely reviewed his musical work by using literature research and content analysis techniques.His musical work has been used by various artists and musicians over the years because of his popularity. Also in my research, I included those albums in which his work is identified in also other`s musical records and musical pieces. All his musical work was analyzed by research conducted analyzing the word count, strain, lyrics and topics covered each. The research finding suggests that only compositions and lyrics together he owns 173 musical pieces, only composition based work of his is around 320, only lyric-based musical work of his is 164 and lastly as a soundtrack he owns is 10 pieces. Above all his work I also reviewed them by the various specific musical strain used on his 10 pieces of works contain 1 Çargâh,1 Zirguleli Hicaz,2 Kürdi, ,2 Mahur and 4 Nihavent: as musical rank he owns 9 Sofyan,1 Semai of 9-13 sound range. Topics covered related to his work are more focused on longing, passion, agony, platonic love, heartache, desperation, love, loneliness, invoke, melancholia and regret.
