Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Mart 2020'de Türkiye'de başlayan ve kısa süre içerisinde sosyal bir probleme dönüşen COVID-19 pandemi sürecinin, gençler üzerindeki etkilerini, ikincil veri kaynakları ışığında derleyerek geniş bir portresini oluşturmaktır. Bu nedenle meta analizi yöntemi kullanılarak, pandeminin gençler üzerinde yarattığı bireysel ve toplumsal etkilerine odaklanan bazı kamu kurum ve kuruluşları, sivil toplum kuruluşları ve akademik çalışmaların nitel ve nicel sonuçları analiz edilmiştir. Toplum içinde sosyal bir konumu olan ve bir alt kültür olarak nitelendirebileceğimiz gençliğin, pandemi sürecinde yaşamış olduğu değişimler şu başlıklar altında ele alınmıştır: sağlık davranışları, aile içi ilişkileri, eğitim süreçleri, ekonomik etkileri, sosyal açıdan değişimleri ve sosyo-psikolojik etkileri. Ülkemizdeki gençlerin pandemi sürecindeki yaşam tecrübelerinin değişen şartlara göre şekillenerek kendine özgü algı, tutum, davranış, duygu, düşünce ve baş etme teknikleri, mevcut araştırmaların sonuçları ışığında değerlendirilmiştir. İlgili bu verilerin sistematik şekilde bir araya getirilmesiyle, salgının küresel etkilerinden bağımsız olmasa da Türkiye'de kendine has denilebilecek bir sosyal inşa sürecinin gençlik özelinde yarattığı olumlu ve olumsuz etkileri anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to create a broad portrait of the COVID-19 pandemic process, which started in Turkey in March 2020 and turned into a social problem in a short time, by compiling the effects on young people in the light of secondary data sources. For this reason, using the meta-analysis method, the qualitative and quantitative results of some public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and academic studies focusing on the individual and social effects of the pandemic on young people were analyzed. The changes experienced by the youth, who have a social position in the society and can be described as a subculture, during the pandemic process are discussed under the following headings: health behaviors, family relations, education processes, economic effects, social changes and socio-psychological effects. The life experiences of the youth in our country during the pandemic process were shaped according to the changing conditions, and their unique perception, attitude, behavior, emotion, thought and coping techniques were evaluated in the light of the results of current research. By systematically bringing together these relevant data, it has been tried to understand the positive and negative effects of a social construction process that can be called unique in Turkey, especially if it is not independent from the global effects of the epidemic.
