Yüksek lisans tezi olarak hazırladığımız bu çalıGmada, Osmanlı Devleti?nin idarî birimlerinden olan "Eyalet" hakkında derinlemesine bir çalıGma yaparak, genel olarak Osmanlı taGra teGkilatını ve bu teGkilat içerisinde yer alan Rumeli Eyaleti?ni ana hatlarıyla ortaya koymaya çalıGtık. Tezin birinci bölümünde, Osmanlı TaGra TeGkilatı ve bu teGkilata bağlı olan idarî birimler ana hatlarıyla verilmeye çalıGıldı. Gkinci bölümde, Rumeli coğrafyasının tarihsel geliGimi ve Osmanlıların buradaki faaliyetleri üzerinde detaylı bir Gekilde duruldu. Üçüncü bölümde ise, Rumeli Eyaleti?nin idarî taksimatı, resmî ve özel sancak listeleri Geklinde tasniflendirilerek, bir kronoloji dâhilinde verilmeye çalıGıldı. Sonuç olarak bu çalıGmadaki amaç; Osmanlı taGra teGkilatını ve Osmanlı Devleti?nin "Klasik Dönem"i olarak nitelendirilen XIV- XVII yüzyıllar arasında Rumeli Eyaleti?nin idarî yapısını ve geliGimini ana hatlarıyla ortaya koymaktı.
The present study which is prepared as a MA thesis, deeply examines the largest unit of Provincial Administration in the parts of the empire which were under direct of Ottoman rule called "Eyalet", and to draw the outline of Ottoman Provincial Administration system, in particular Province of Rumelia. In the first chapter of thesis, it was tried to draw the outline of administrative units which were dependent of Ottoman Provincial Administration. In the second chapter, it was mentioned in the historical evolution of Rumelian geography and Ottoman?s activities in this region in detail. In the third chapter, it was tried to make an attempt on administrative classificiation of Province of Rumelia, making the list of official and private sanjaks in chronological. In conclusion, the aim of this study is to indicate Ottoman?s Provincial Administration; particularly administrative structure and evolution of the Rumelia Province between the XIV and XVII. centuries which is called Ottoman?s "Classical Age" .
