dc.description.abstract | Background: We report three patients who developed cluster-like headache immediately after minor head injuries. None of the patients provided a prior history of either type of headache nor any other trauma before the accident. Discussion: The patients described headaches which had features common to cluster headache. These headaches are often very difficult to manage because of the problems in evaluating and treating a subjective symptom, the unclear clinical presentation, and the minimal evidence of an organic abnormality. Conclusion: In intractable cluster-like post-traumatic headache, a multidisciplinary approach may also be helpful in conjunction with prophylactic agents. Cluster-like post-traumatic headache requires similar evaluation and management as idiopathic variety of cluster headache. The timing of initiation of treatment may impact on the prognosis of these patients. | en_US |
