Özet
Bugün artık temsili demokrasiyle yönetilen uluslarda iktidarı elinde bulunduran parti ve lider kadrosunun dört başı mamur ideolojik öğretilere ihtiyaç duymadığı bellidir. Ne tüm örüntüleriyle liberalizm ne de tüm fraksiyonlarıyla sosyalizm iktidarı elde etmeye ve konsolide etmeye yardımcı olabilirler. Temsili demokrasilerde siyasal iktidarın elde edilmesi için tüm ideolojik öğretilerin yerine popülizmin gücüne dayanmak daha ikna edicidir. Popülizm yazılı bir öğreti olmaması ve kuramsal formülasyonu dışlaması, bu ikisinin yerine de esnek ama güçlü iddialar manzumesiyle iktidarın ideolojisi olarak istihdam edilmektedir.
It is clear that the party and leader cadres, which now hold power in representative democracy, do not need the proper ideological doctrines. Neither liberalism in all its patterns nor socialism in all its fractions can help to gain and consolidate power. It is more persuasive to rely on the power of populism instead of all ideological doctrines to achieve political power in representative democracies. Populism is not a written doctrine and excludes theoretical formulation, instead, it is employed as the ideology of power, with a range of flexible but powerful claims.
