Özet
In Elementary Schools in Turkey it is aimed to gain essential competencies to future citizens. The important parts of these competencies are related to knowledge, skill, value and attitudes in human rights and citizenship education. One of three approaches related to Human Rights and Citizenship Education (HRCE) is interdiscipline domain implementation that has been applied in Turkey since 2004. The aim of this research is to determine social studies teachers' opinions related to HRCE inter-discipline domain implementation. Data being obtained via questionnaire being prepared for this purpose are interpreted in terms of curriculum, textbook, classroom environment, out-of-school activity and teachers' competencies dimensions. At the end of the research it is seen that most of the teachers have positive opinions about teachers' competencies, curriculum and textbook dimensions while they have adverse opinions about classroom environment and out-of-school activity dimensions.
