Özet

In this study, the classroom teachers of 4th and 5th grade in mathematics lessons using the instructional materials the specified conditions in the program have been investigated. The scope of this research is the classroom teachers who work 4th and 5th grades in primary schools in Istanbul. The sample of the research is 268 classroom teachers who worked 4th and 5th grades in the 25 primary schools in Sultanbeyli district in 2009-2010 academic year. According to the results of the study, among the reasons of prevent the teachers from using the teaching materials, the most effective ones are The school is short of the required materials, Physical conditions of the class, are not sufficient to use the tools in math class. The other effective factor is Class size is not appropriate to use the teaching materials. There is no significant differences among the reasons of prevent the teachers from using the teaching materials according to their age and seniority valiables.
