Depending on the amount of light they receive, thelight-sensitive circuit elements generate electrical signals such as current, voltage, and resistance. Thus, these sensors are widely used in lightmeasurement systems, light control systems, and opto-couplers. In this studyunderhand, the electrical values produced by the application of increasinglight on the photodiodes and phototransistors are analysed. According to valuesobtained, the 9.44 standard deviation shows that photodiode has a betterperformance than phototransistor in terms of light sensitivity.
