Özet
Günümüz toplumları etkili iletiştim kurabilen, kritik düşünebilen, gerçek bilgilere ulaşabilen ve düşünerek yeni bilgiler üretebilen, problem çözmede yetenekli olan ve sorumluluk gerektiren davranışlar sergileyen bireylere ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Bu davranışların kazandırılmasında öğrenme ve öğretme yöntemlerinin rolü büyüktür. Öğrenciyi merkeze alan yaklaşımlardan biri olan yapısalcı yaklaşım, öğrenmeyi öğrencinin etkin rol aldığı bir süreç olarak görmektedir. Bir bilgi teorisinden çok, bilme ve öğrenme teorisi olan yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın temel varsayımı bireylerin yeni düşünceler ya da olaylarla eski bilgileri arasında bağ kurması sonucu bilgiyi yaratmalarıdır. Öğrenme hayat deneyimlerine dayanan ve sürekli değişen bir uyum sürecidir ve ortama uyumu gerektirir. Öte yandan öğrencilerin öğrenme-öğretme sürecine etkin katılımı, ancak etkili bir sınıf yönetimi ile sağlanabilir. Sınıf yönetimi öğrencilerin etkili bir davranış örüntüsü kazanmaları yanında; anlama ve yönlendirme yollarını, geliştirmelerinde yardımcı olmalıdır. Bunun için de öğretmen, öğrencilerin derse katılımlarını sağlamak, düşüncelerine önem vermek, bunları sınıfta paylaşmak, onları anlamaya çalışmak, düşüncelerini çekinmeden ifade etmelerini sağlamak durumundadır. Bu çalışmada etkili bir öğrenme için zorunlu olan sınıf yönetimine yapısalcı bir açıdan yaklaşılmış, bu yaklaşımın sınıf içindeki uygulamaları ve bunların sınıftaki sosyo-kültürel ortama etkileri incelenmiştir.
Today's societies need individuals who are able to communicate effectively, think critically, reach real information, generate original ideas by thinking, who are talented in solving problems and performing responsible behaviors. The role, of teaching and learning techniques in gaining these behaviors are outstanding. Constructivist approach, which is a student centered one, accepts learning aş a process in which students plays an effective role. Beyond an information theory, constructivist approach is a theory of knowing and learning and it assumes that individuals create information by making connections between old-fashioned information and recent ideas or events. Learning is an adaptation process, it is based on experiences in life, it changes continuously and requires adaptation to environment. Moreover, effective classroom management is the only way to provide effective student participation in learning and teaching process, In eddition to having the students get an effective behavior pattern. Classroom management should help them to develop the ways of understanding. Thus, teachers ought to make the student participate in the lesson, consider their ideas important and share them in the class, try to understand the students and make them express their ideas without hesitation. This study approached the classroom management from a constructivist point of wiew, aimed to carry out the practices of constructivist approach inside the classroom and their effects on the socio-cultural environment of it.
