Özet
Batı ve İslam toplumları arasında ötekileştirmeüzerinden kurulan ilişki çok eski zamanlaradayanmaktadır. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde değişim gösteren bu ilişki günümüzde Batılı toplumların İslam toplumlarını hem dışlama hemde dönüştürme çabalarına sahne olmaktadır.Yapılan Batılı müdahalelerin çoğu için sözdemeşruiyet Batı’nın yeni diniymişçesine sahipçıktığı “demokrasi” ile sağlanmaktadır. İmparatorlukların sona ermesi ve ulus devletlerinkurulmasıyla beraber birlik bilincini tam olaraktesis edememiş olan Müslüman topluluklarınçoğu ise Batılı müdahaleye açık bir toplumsalve siyasal yapı ile kendi topraklarında yaşamhaklarını büyük ölçüde yitirmektedirler. Bukimselerin diğer kısmı ise göç etmek zorundakaldıkları Batı’da ikincil insan statüsünde yaşamaya maruz kalmaktadırlar. Bu durum, Müslüman toplulukları Batı’ya karşı topyekûn bir tavıralışa iterken, bir kısmının da radikalleşmesineve küresel terör örgütlerinin eline düşmesinesebep olmaktadır. Batı, radikalleşmesine sebep olduğu bu gruplar üzerinden bir yandanuluslararası operasyonlarını kendince meşrubir zeminde yürütürken, bir taraftan da Müslüman toplumları ötekileştirmeye ve yenidenötekileştirmeye devam etmektedir.
The relationship established between theWestern and Islamic societies by means ofothering is based on ancient times. This relationship, which has changed in the historicalduration, is now witnessing the efforts of theWestern societies to exclude as well as transform the Islamic societies. The so-called legitimacy for the most of the Western interventionsis achieved with the “democracy” that is ownedlike the West’s new religion. With the end ofthe empires and the establishment of nationstates, most of the Muslim communities, whichhave not been able to fully establish unityconsciousness, have lost a great deal of theirrights to life on their lands with a social and political structure open to Western intervention.The other parts of these people are exposedto life in secondary human status in the West,where they had to migrate. This stiuation causes Muslim communities to take a total stanceagainst the West, some of which are radicalizing and are being captured by global terroristorganizations. While the West operates its international operations on a legitimate ground,on the other hand it continues to othering andre-othering Muslim societies.
