Özet
This study first sets down the conditions in which a suffix can be regarded as a participle-suffix. It then suggests that the suffix -I, which is normally not regarded as a participle suffix in grammar books or other studies, should also be named as a participle suffix. The study demonstrates how this suffix is used as a rather typical participle suffix through examples from texts written in Turkish as spoken in Turkey.
