dc.description.abstractA floristic study of Kazankaya Canyon was carried out. Sixty families, 216 genera and 308 taxa were identified. A species new to science was found from the genus Scorzonera L. (Compositae). Fifty-two taxa (16.9%) are Irano-Turanian, 41 (13.3%) Mediterranean and 11 (3.6%) Euro-Siberian phytogeographic region elements. The remaining 195 (63.3%) taxa are multi-regional and 9 (2.9%) are not from a determined phytogeographic region. The life forms were determined according to Raunkiaer. The number of endemic taxa is 24 (7.8%). Four taxa show variations not previously reported in the literature. Thirty-four taxa are new floristic records for the square A5.en_US
